Good Things Come...

After a year and a half, Ezra's quilt is finally finished!  Big thanks to DeAnne who helped me put on the binding.  Ezra was excited to finally receive his quilt and it really brightens his room.  This is the biggest and  most time consuming project I've done and it was a great learning experience.  Now that my first quilt is finished, I can call myself a quilter!   

It was also my first attempt at free motion quilting and I mostly winged it.  I used my regular ol' sewing machine which was bulky but it worked.  I don't have any plans for quilting another twin sized quilt any time soon!  I have a whole new appreciation for beautifully quilted quilts.

Now it's time to crank out some Christmas gifts!
